Revanth Reddy’s 2 Oops Moments While Canvassing

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy began his canvassing in the Jubilee Hills constituency on Friday evening. He joined roadshows with candidate Naveen Yadav, newly sworn-in Minister Mohd Azharuddin, and other party members.

During his speeches, two slip-ups caught the attention of netizens and quickly became talking points online. Trollers filled social media with sarcastic comments about the CM’s statements.

In one speech, Revanth Reddy said there was nothing wrong in including Azharuddin, who “captained the team that won the World Cup,” in the state cabinet. This left many cricket fans puzzled, as Azharuddin never led India to a World Cup win. Kapil Dev captained the 1983 team, and Virat Kohli led the 2023 squad.

The second blunder came when the CM warned voters that if they supported the BRS candidate, benefits like free bus services, fine rice, ration cards, and 200 units of free power would stop. Many were quick to remind him that he is the CM and that his party is already in power.

Netizens joked that someone should remind Revanth Reddy of his role. One even commented that the CM might need a new speech writer.
