CM Revanth Reddy said Telangana must reach a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. He was speaking at the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) set up at the Mallepally ITI premises.
He stressed that skills matter as much as degrees. The state is working with Tata Technologies to train youth in ATCs. So far, Rs 2400 crore has been spent to establish 64 centres, and each trains around 200 students who are finding jobs.
Encouraged by the results, the government approved 51 more ATCs. Revanth Reddy said they are considering a Rs 2000 stipend for ATC students. He reminded that Telangana was achieved with the fight of unemployed youth whose dreams remain unfulfilled.
He urged students to look beyond software. Skilled workers trained at ATCs are securing global jobs, with some earning Rs 3.5 lakh per month in Germany. Without skills, there are no jobs, he said, warning that many unemployed BTech graduates are falling into drugs.
