Recently, Group 1 aspirants held a protest in Hyderabad, demanding the government postpone the Mains exams. Last night, many Group 1 students gathered in Ashok Nagar, asking for the postponement of the exam scheduled for October 21.
According to the reports, they raised concerns about what would happen if GO 55 is upheld by the court. They also questioned what would happen if the court cancels the Group 1 exam entirely and how would the government handle that situation.
Students asked what steps would be taken to ensure fairness for those who were eligible under GO 29 but could be affected by GO 55. They questioned whether there would be any normalization process to balance the changes.
Another issue they raised was the inconsistency between the hall ticket numbers for the prelims and mains exams. This discrepancy has caused concern among aspirants about possible irregularities or hidden motives. They emphasized that clarity is needed to maintain trust in the exam process.
This is the second time protests have erupted in Ashok Nagar. Just a few months ago, students protested for the postponement of the Group 2 exams, as they were scheduled right after the DSc exams ended.
In less than a year of governance, Congress and CM Revanth Reddy have faced opposition from public service aspirants. There’s growing concern that Revanth is losing the support of students, causing their frustration and anger.
