YS Jagan Mohan Reddy often refers to women as ‘Naa Akka Chellemmalu’ in his speeches. He claims to deposit all the schemes into the accounts of women. But it looks like that is only vote bank politics and Jagan has a very low opinion about women.
The other day, Jagan gave an interview to an English News Channel and was asked about the rift between him and his sister.
“In politics, we should have one from one generation and everybody else should be supporting characters. Its not that they are second generation. All that I told them is please do not come into politics. Do business or do anything of your choice and we will support you. But do not come into politics and create a situation where people exploit our relationship. That’s what we discussed,” Jagan said.
Firstly this logic of only one from one generation in politics is absurd. YS Viveka is in politics along with his Brother YSR.
Even now, we have Dharmana Prasada Rao and Dharmana Krishna Das, Botsa Brothers, Botsa Satyanarayana and his wife – they are from the same generation and they are doing politics comfortably.
What is the problem Jagan has?
Keeping that aside, why should Sharmila sacrifice? Why should women sacrifice? Why not Jagan taking care of the Businesses and Sharmila doing Politics.
She is YSR’s daughter. She proved she has the oratory skills and she can walk (Padayatra) for the film.
What more extra qualities Jagan possesses except the fact that he is the male successor of YSR? If that is the case, it is a very backward mindset and shocking if a Chief Minister is in that frame of mind.
The usage of the term ‘supporting characters’ for women itself is very degrading. It is so disgusting that the Chief Minister can think of women of his same family as just supporting characters.
And then, coming to the noble offer of Jagan – ‘Do business or do anything of your choice and we will support you’, Sharmila repeatedly dropped hints about how she has been denied her share in their father’s properties.
She also said how Jagan gave a small fraction of the share and showed that as loans.
