Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority has proposed the development of the Telangana Tribute Garden in Tellapur. The park is planned across 10 acres and aims to serve as a major lung space on the city outskirts.
The project is estimated at Rs 48 crore. HMDA has prepared the plan, while the government is yet to grant formal approval to begin execution.
With Hyderabad’s rapid expansion, HMDA is focusing on increasing green spaces. The authority plans to develop 213 parks across the city. So far, 25 parks covering one acre in total have already been completed.
In addition, 15 major parks have been expanded. The 85-acre Kotwalguda park has also been developed. The Telangana Tribute Garden will now add another large green zone spanning 10 acres.
Tellapur has emerged as a major residential hub with several apartments and gated communities. With real estate activity booming, the park is expected to greatly benefit local residents.
Apart from greenery, the park will showcase Telangana culture. HMDA aims to make it a destination for both national and international tourists.
The garden will be developed along the lines of Lumbini Park, NTR Garden, and Lakeview Park. Waterways inspired by the Krishna and Godavari rivers will be created.
A replica of the 1000 pillar temple in Warangal will also be part of the park. Plans include a Telangana museum and special sculptures as key attractions.
The project will feature wide walkways, landscaped areas for walkers, and a dedicated play area for children. Officials stated that work will commence once formal government approval is received.
