KTR To Recommend AP To Investors!

Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Ramarao inaugurated the Global Development Centre of an IT company in Warangal. The IT Minister elaborated on the need for IT companies to look at the Tier-2 Towns.

“The future lies there I believe. Our children of Andhra and Telangana are working in Bengaluru and they are eager to come home. You should also set up companies in Bhimavaram and Nellore. If needed, I will recommend you to Jagananna and get you the necessary land,” KTR told the company owners on the bias.

Andhra Pradesh was the investment destination during 2014-19 with Chandrababu Naidu at the helm. The state used to come first in Ease of Doing Business and would always stay in Top-3 in attracting Foreign Direct Investments.

Telangana tried to compete with AP but lost big investments like Kia, Isuzu, Hero Motors, etc.

Everything changed with the change of power in Andhra Pradesh after 2019. Andhra Pradesh today is fully focused on bringing loans and distributing freebies. Forget about investments, the state is struggling even to pay salaries.

While Telangana is focused on expanding IT and investment to Tier-2 towns of the state, AP’s big cities like Vishakapatnam and Vijayawada have almost become zero on that front.

KTR’s words may be with good intentions but they come as a cruel joke on the sad situation of Andhra Pradesh.
