Sakshi Brings Sharmila’s Party To Main Page in Telangana

A few days ago when YS Sharmila first announced her plan to float a party in Telangana, YSR Congress announced that it has nothing to do with Sharmila’s party. Jagan‘s confidante Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said it is the opinion of Jagan that having interests in Telangana would be detrimental to effectively fight for AP since there are several contentious issues between both the sides.

“Hence we tried to dissuade her from getting into Telangana politics but she is adamant. YSR Congress has nothing to do with that,” Sajjala announced. But it looks like things have changed a bit. Jagan Mohan Reddy is yet to talk about Sharmila’s party so far but he seems to be supporting the party indirectly.

YSR Congress Mouthpiece Sakshi has started giving coverage to Sharmila’s meetings already. Sakshi’s Telangana edition today has a Main Page Prime item and Second Page Banner item for Sharmila’s meeting with the leaders of Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts. Initially, Sakshi is not even covering about the party.

It looks like Sakshi is going to back Sharmila’s party in Telangana in coming days. This is crucial because Sakshi has good circulation in Telangana. If Jagan is right about about not having interests in Telangana politics to effectively work for AP interests, one would wonder what has changed his opinion now on that front.
