Are We Seeing the True Colours of ‘Fearless’ Leaders?

Telangana Government and Police successfully derailed the proposed Telangana Unemployed Youth Rally by Telangana JAC. On the midnight of yesterday, Telangana Police had to break the doors of Kodandaram’s house and arrested him when he refused to come out and asks the police to come at 6 AM.

Telangana DGP said that there is no permission to the rally and has ordered several preventive arrests. The Police department had asked students not to attend the rally or face legal action. This incident is very much similar to what happened in Vishakapatnam on Republic Day when Police refused permission for Special Status Agitation.

But then the incident created a huge uproar by media and people’s leaders like Pawan Kalyan and Jayaprakash Narayan. We have seen them terming the incident as ‘Murder of Democracy’. Some of the social media groups which poked youth with anti-government appeals that day are totally silent about this Telangana issue now.

One could not stop wondering why these people only target Andhra Pradesh government and can not speak a word about Telangana government. Some say these people are scared of KCR who will not be soft like Naidu when dealing such issues. But then if this is the case of leaders like Pawan Kalyan and JP who call themselves a fearless, what is politics all about?
