Separate High Court Not Possible Before 2019 Elections?

Central Government once again reiterated that the bifurcation of the Hyderabad High Court can be possible only when the new buildings in Andhra Pradesh are ready. The Center said it is willing to bifurcate the existing High Court at Hyderabad even now if the AP government shows the buildings to establish the separate HC for AP.

But then Chandrababu Naidu’s government’s priorities are not in that direction now. As per the plan now, The Bhoomi Puja for the High Court Building in Amaravati will happen on August 17th and the buildings should be ready by 2018 end.

High Court building will be constructed as G+4 and will cost 450 Crore. That implies the bifurcation of the high court is unlikely to happen before 2019 election and the issue may become an election issue in Telangana for 2019.
