In the latest development, Gadwal BRS MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy joined the Congress party in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy earlier today.

The news of Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy joining Congress has been doing rounds for a while and finally, he made it true today.

He is the seventh MLA to jump from BRS to Congress since December 2023. The other MLAs who sifted from BRS to Congress are Kadiyam Srihari, Danam Nagender, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Tellam Venkata Rao, Kale Yadaiah and Sanjay Kumar.

Just a couple of days ago, six BRS MLCs joined the Congress Party at midnight in the presence of Revanth Reddy at his residence.

Currently, Congress’s strength in assembly stands at 72 while BRS has been reduced to 31. More MLAs, especially from the GHMC region, are expected to join Congress in the coming days.

BRS working president KTR blamed Congress for poaching his party’s MLAs. On the other side, people on social media opined that Congress is playing the same strategy used by BRS when it was in rule.
