Sharmila Offered To Give Statement In Viveka’s Case?

CBI Charge sheet in YS Vivekananda Reddy‘s murder case points fingers at Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy and his father. CBI mentioned that Viveka wanted Kadapa MP seat for himself, Sharmila or Vijayamma and has indicated that it may be the motive for the murder.

ABN Radhakrishna in her weekend comment made an interesting comment on this case. He wrote that CBI had initially approached Sharmila to give a statement about Viveka asking Jagan for Kadapa MP seat to himself or Sharmila. The editorial mentions that Sharmila also agreed to give a statement but CBI backed off.

Radhakrishna indirectly implied that CBI may be helping Jagan and YSR Congress in this case. Sharmila’s statement can make the case stronger against Avinash Reddy and it can be big trouble for YSR Congress. It is also an embarrassment for Jagan as it says he did not give the seat to his own family members.

We all know how ABN is having good relations with Sharmila and he may not have said this without reliable information. It looks like the case can get very uncomfortable for the ruling party if pursued rightly.
