Shivraj Chouhan Targets Jagan on Housing

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took aim at former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over the implementation of the housing scheme for the poor.

Chouhan said providing a pucca house to every poor family is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for Andhra Pradesh. He alleged that the Centre was ready to provide houses, but the previous YSRCP government did not provide the required state share.

“Jagan, what have you done? The Prime Minister was providing houses to Andhra Pradesh, but you refused to provide the state’s share,” Chouhan said.

He alleged that the previous government deprived poor families of an opportunity to get houses. Chouhan also said people would not forgive Jagan for what he described as failures in the housing programme.
