Social media savvy Modi Instagrammed!

Social media savvy Prime Minister Modi never misses an opportunity to reach out to people via social media websites. Modi shared a picture from Myanmar today, made his debut in to one more popular photo sharing social network with a message “Hello World! Great being on Instagram. My first photo…this one from the ASEAN Summit.” With in hours Modi’s Instragram has got 70K followers and growing at every second.

Modi had extensively used social media for outreach during the elections, set a record by standing as the third most followed leader on Twitter Worldwide. Modi said in several occasions how believes in the power of technology and social media to reach people across the globe.

Contrary to the PM’s interest on social media for reaching out to people his cabinet is snail paced in joining social network. His team is very slow on catching up his speed though Modi said each Minister can have a nodal officer who monitors the updates that go in to social networking sites.
