Tammineni Requesting Jagan To Save From Defeat?

The other day, CMO summoned Minister Seediri Appalaraju. The Minister canceled all official work and met the Chief Minister twice in Tadepalli on the same day.

There were rumors that Appalaraju will be ousted from the cabinet. While the media started telecasting this news, Speaker Tammineni Sitaram rushed to meet Jagan.

There are two ministers from the Srikakulam district right now – Dharmana Prasada Rao and Seediri Appalaraju. Jagan planned to replace Appalaraju with Kola Gurvulu of the same Fishermen community.

But Guruvulu lost in the MLC elections. Tammineni is requesting Jagan to give him the berth. Tammineni is from the Kalinga, a prominent community in the BCs of Uttarandhra.

There is a sentiment in Telugu politics that a leader who worked as a Speaker will lose the next election. Tammineni is worried about this sentiment and wants to drop off the Speaker post before the elections.

Even though he is worried about the sentiment, Tammineni took the Speaker post initially because he thought something is better than nothing.

We have seen him lowering the bar so much for the coveted post by singing praises of the Chief Minister and cursing the Opposition sitting in the Chair.

Now, with elections nearing, he is worried about the sentiment. Tammineni can be changed as the speaker only if he is inducted into the cabinet.

YSR Congress sources say he is likely to get a berth due to social equations.
