Special Police sub-division for AP Capital Region!

Andhra Pradesh government is planning a special police sub-division at Tullur comprising Pedakurapadu, Tullur and Amaravati mandals for better coordination of law and order in the capital region. After announcing as the capital, the traffic flow and VIP visits to the area increased rapidly. Andhra Pradesh government is planning to install a Traffic Police State and five Police Outposts here.

The State government has already deployed huge number of Police troops in all the 29 villages that are going for the land pooling. This decision is taken for the smooth completion of land pooling and also to keep a check on any untoward incidents like farms land set on fire few days ago.

Also out of the 13 districts in the State, only eight districts have armed battalions and West Godavari, Prakasam, Chittoor, Krishna and Srikakulam districts do not have any battalions and proposals had been sent to the Centre seeking approval for five battalions.
