Spurt in Land Disputes following TS Real Boom

The Real Estate is interior districts of Telangana has witnessed never before seen boom following the announcement of 17 new districts in the state. But then problems are also equally high as all the revenue offices are flooded with complaints on land disputes with each complainant claiming ownership over the other.

Such issues are rampant particularly, in Medak, Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy, Adilabad and Karimnagar districts. The land values in these districts which were in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh per acre, shot up to Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1 crore per acre with the announcement of new districts.

Registrations were held up due to these conflicts and agriculture land is being converted into plots for sale, without approvals from the local bodies. In some areas, the land prices have even shot up to 3 Crore per acre. This is in the areas where temporary collectorates will come up.
