Strategy to increase Hyd Police force

The Telangana government and the Hyderabad Police have focused on curbing the crime rate in Hyderabad city. The government has a proposal of making 1.5 Lakh Private security guards a part of Hyderabad Police in order to maintain the law and order efficiently. According to the plan devised by the Police, the mobile numbers of all the private security guards in the city and they will receive alerts through SMS whenever there is a crime like snatching or series of thefts take place at a particular locality.

Regular alerts will also be sent to increase awareness about the crime pattern. These private security guards will be made use to snatch the criminals along with the normal Police. Since extra hands will be added, the chances to get the criminals nabbed will be improved. Already this system is being trialed in some outskirt areas of Hyderabad and it is said to be yielding some very good results. The chief cops of both the commissionerates will soon be holding meetings with the representatives of private security agencies and decide the modus operandi.
