The Apex court clarified that all the assets and liabilities before the state bifurcation have to be divided in population ratio which means Andhra Pradesh will get the major share in both of them up to the tune of 52%. The court also instructed Center to intervene in case the division do not happen in that ratio.

Supreme court asked the Center to complete the division in two months. The apex court categorically stated that this judgement will be applicable to all the institutions in Hyderabad. This judgement will come as a major relief to Andhra Pradesh which is reeling under the pressure of severe financial crunch after the state division.
