Swanky European style terminal to Vja Airport!

The new airport terminal for Vijayawada will have a massive facelift as ground work for the construction of a swanky European style terminal begins. Government had already acquired five acres of land for this and got all the required permissions. The Bushes and tress in the 5 acre plot are being cleared and getting ready for soil test.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapati Raju are likely to lay foundation stone for the new terminal constructions after soil tests. Top infrastructure companies like GVK and GMR and the airport engineers are roped in to execute this project.

However this terminal will only serve on temporary basis until permanent terminal to be constructed on world class standards and sized as big as Hyderabad’s Airport comes up in next three years. This temporary terminal will cost 30 crore and Rs 50 crore.
