Target ‘Tollywood’ For Telangana Elections!

The film industry and politics often cross paths. Several film personalities are currently active in politics, with the most obvious one being JanaSena’s Pawan Kalyan.

Now, the discussion is about Telangana politics and we are hearing an interesting media report in this regard.

As per reports, the Telangana Congress intends to target the Tollywood community in the build up for the 2023 Telangana elections.

Apparently, Telangana Congress intends to attract Tollywood personalities by offering them MLA tickets. The idea could be to add the glamour factor and crowd pulling capabilities to their ranks by bringing in these Tollywood personalities. The party also wishes to promise these Tollywood actors cabinet berth as an incentive, it seems.

Also, there are reports that T Congress could be promising Tollywood cine workers house plots in Hyderabad as a part of their electoral promises.

If that is the case, it is clear that Telangana Congress is going all out to attract Tollywood’s support for the next election. Will this strategy workout? Will Tollywood really look at Congress to lay their political platform?
