TDP Targets 14 Seats In Greater Hyderabad

Telangana TDP suddenly became active after the appointment of the new President, Kasaani Gnaneshwar. Chandrababu Naidu also started concentrating on the party.

TDP is currently conducting the ‘Intintiki Telugu Desam’ program, a public outreach program to reach out to the voters.

The party has identified the constituencies where it is strong with a sizeable cadre and potential candidates.

Instead of concentrating on all constituencies, it will work hard here and try to win a decent number of seats.

In Greater Hyderabad, the party has selected fourteen constituencies. These constituencies have a good population of Andhra settlers and educated voters. The party believes they will give the party a chance.

Traditionally, TDP has a strong cadre and leaders in Telangana than in Andhra. But then, the party is out of power there after 2004. In 2009, the alliance with TRS did a big damage.

In the 2014 elections, it only managed fifteen seats and in 2018, the number went down to just two.
