TDP To Introduce WhatsApp Membership Drive

Telugu Desam Party is known for adopting technology the most than any other party for many years. The party is gearing up for its membership drive this year and is planning it differently.

To get closer to the youth and make it easier for them to take the party membership, TDP is planning a WhatsApp membership drive.

A WhatsApp number will be announced and those interested can chat with the automated bot which will walk through the necessary process. After collecting all the necessary details, it will redirect to the payment gateway to make the membership payment.

Once the payment is made, the membership card is automatically generated. Those interested in the physical delivery of the card can also apply. The party is testing the application right now and will roll it out when the membership starts.

For those in the villages, paperless membership drives will be conducted using volunteers. The party targets record membership with elections just two years to go.

TDP is also one of the first political parties in the country to offer insurance to its members.
