Team India Choking in the Knockouts of the Crucial Tournaments

Team India bowed out of World Cup 2019 after losing to New Zealand the other day. This loss will mean that India has not won any ICC Trophy for the last six years or so. This is unacceptable given that India has a very good team. Perhaps, India has turned to a New South Africa which is known for choking in the Knockout matches.

Since the World T20 Tournament in 2014, India dominated the league stages and crumbled when it matters. In the World T20 Tournament in 2014, India lost the final to Sri Lanka. In the Cricket World Cup the next year, we lost in the Semifinal against Australia. In the World T20 Tournament in 2014, the team against lost to the Windies in the Semifinal.

In Champions Trophy 2017, Team India lost to Arch-Rival Pakistan in the Finals. It is the first-ever loss to Team India against Pakistan in any ICC Tournament. And now in this World Cup, we could not defeat New Zealand to go to the finals.

In all the last four tournaments, India is out of the tournament losing to the teams which later became Champions in those Tournaments. It has to be seen if Kiwis can manage to win this one. It will be their first-ever World Cup Victory if that happens.
