Mahender was staying at a hostel in Addagutta in KPHB. After resigning from his job, he did not go to his home for festival.

When he didn’t come out of the room for one full day, the hostel management broke open the door. Mahender was found hanging from the ceiling fan.

The hostel management immediately notified the police. The police reached the spot and found the suicide note. After informing his parents, the body was sent to Gandhi Hospital.

Despite repeated attempts by NGOs to prevent or stop suicides among techies due to life pressures, there are people like Mahender who give up on life. If one has suicidal thoughts, do reach out to helpline numbers or peers for support.
