Center Keeps Telugu States On Their Toes!

The Ease of Doing Business Rankings given by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion in the Central government are keeping both the Telugu States on their toes. Last year, we have seen Andhra Pradesh coming at Rank 2 and Telangana at Rank 13 which triggered a competition between both the governments.

Telangana government took special care to better their ranking this year and at one time, even filed a case alleging that AP government is copying their data which is being submitted to the DIPP. The department is evaluating the data submitted by the states and is publishing the rankings every day.

It looks like a tug of war game with rankings jumbling every day. On one day, it looks like one state is leading all the way and on the second day, the game changes completely. DIPP is maintaining the suspense by extending the deadlines for the rankings announcement. The latest is that the deadline is once again extended to September 30th.
