Telangana BJP chief Ramachander Rao did not mince words when expressing his views regarding the splitting of greater GHMC into 3 municipal corporations. He told the anchor that the ruling Congress government split GHMC to give away one part as a gift to Owaisi and MIM.
The anchor persisted and asked that the decision may not resonate with people. To this, the BJP chief said the Congress was concerned about power and did not care about people and their wish.
Ramachander Rao said that the split of GHMC was a return gift to Asaduddin Owaisi for extending support to the Congress during Jubilee Hills bypoll.
The state BJP chief said that his party had two MPs in two parts. The Congress wants to give the third part to Majlis, he said. He pointed out Owaisi made it clear during his speech that the Congress came to power with their support.
