The cabinet expansion in the Telangana government has been due for a long time. It is heard that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is planning to fill six vacant cabinet positions by August 15.
Meanwhile, numerous MLAs and MPs are hoping to grab these six posts. Reportedly, each of them is lobbying with the high command to secure a ministerial position. Here is a look at them.
1. Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy
Rajgopal expected a cabinet post after Congress won the elections but didn’t get it. This time, he is confident of securing his minister post and is conveying the same to his leaders and supporters.
2. Shabbir Ali
With no minority minister in the cabinet and his close relationship with Revanth, Shabbir Ali is expecting a cabinet post.
3. Teenmaar Mallanna
Chintapandu Naveen, alias Teenmaar Mallanna, recently won the MLC elections. It is heard that he is now lobbying hard for a minister post.
4. Vivek Venkataswamy
The richest MLA in the state is expecting a minister post this time in the SC quota.
5. Prem Sagar Rao
Another MLA expecting a minister’s post in the SC quota. As per reports, he is demanding the high command choose him over Vivek due to his seniority.
6. Danam Nagender
It is heard that Nagender switched from BRS to Congress only after receiving assurance regarding a minister post.
7. Kadiyam Srihari
Another senior leader who switched from BRS to Congress. He expects Congress to give him a minister post under the SC quota considering his seniority.
8. Pocharam Srinivas Reddy
Pocharam shifted from BRS to Congress recently and has reportedly started lobbying with Rahul Gandhi in Delhi for a ministerial post.
9. Vakiti Srihari
He is already confident of getting a minister’s post in Revanth’s cabinet, representing the Mudhiraj community.
10. Malreddy Rangareddy
Senior MLA from Rangareddy district, Malreddy, is lobbying in Delhi to get a minister post.
11. Ram Mohan Reddy
Another MLA from the Rangareddy district who is trying hard to get a minister’s post.
12. P. Sudharshan Reddy
With the help of the Komatireddy brothers, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sudarshan Reddy is trying hard to get a cabinet post.
13. Mynampally Rohit
It is heard that Rohit is promising to fund the party as much as it wants and is asking for a minister position.
14. Professor Kodanda Ram
MLC Kodanda Ram is also trying to get a minister’s post in the cabinet.
15. Balmuri Venkat
Another MLC who is trying his best to get a cabinet post due to his close relationship with Rahul Gandhi.
Apart from these, Kodad MLA N. Padmavathi Reddy and MLC Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud are reportedly lobbying hard to get cabinet posts.
