Telangana Emulates AP’s Idea

Telangana RTC is taking a cue from APSRTC to cover up the losses of the Corporation. APSRTC is commercializing the Bus Stands in the Major Towns of the state by setting up Cinema Theaters and Shopping Complexes. After this experiment yielding results in AP, Telangana RTC is also gearing up to emulate the idea.

Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stand, one of the busiest Bus Stand in Hyderabad will have shopping complex and Cinema theaters very soon and the corporation is likely to invest 10 Crore on this. The Corporation is looking to cover up the losses through other means without increasing the ticket prices.

But then experts say the Corporation should be very careful in implementing the idea because MGBS has Parking Problem and also the close proximity to Musi River gives the problem of stench smell. So, the corporation has to identify this problem before implementing the idea. If the idea is successful in MGBS it will be extended to all important Bus Stands in the State.
