Telangana gets a ‘Power’ respite ahead of summer

Here is a good news to both the Telugu States ahead of the coming summer. Neyveli Tuticorin Power Limited will be supplying 254 MW Power to both the states from January or February. A 1000MW Power Plant is ready for production in Tamil Nadu and according to the PPAs, both the states will be supplied 254MW.

The plant already started in experimental stage and is required to get environmental clearances to begin operations. This clearance is expected in January or February. Accordingly, Telangana will get 137 MW and Andhra Pradesh will get 117.40MW.

This news will come as a huge respite particularly for the Power deficit Telangana state ahead of the summer. The state is expected to have a severe power crisis as demand goes up in summer, this 137 MW power will help them to some extent. And this will help Andhra Pradesh to maintain the 24X7 Power promise more effectively even in summer.
