Telangana Government Rewards Sindhu With One Crore

Appreciations are pouring in for Sindhu from all corners of the country for her exemplary performance in the ongoing Olympics. Telangana government is quick to honour her for the stupendous performance as soon as the final concluded, the state government announced one Crore rupees state award.

It was a heartbreak for millions of Indians as PV Sindhu managed to stick to a Silver in a closely fought match. Sindhu took the first set with 21-19, but then World No. 1 Carolina Marin came back strongly to take the second set 21-12.

Both of them fiercely fought for the decider. The momentum shifted sides through out the set but then towards the end, Marin was too ruthless to take it 21-15. Sindhu became the only Indian women to win a Silver at Olympics. The biggest achievement is that she brought a cricket frenzy nation glued to Television sets watching a game which is usually alien.
