Telangana Intentionally Delaying Assets Sharing?

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh officials were to sit in the presence of Central government to decide upon sharing of assets of AP Bhavan, following the directive of the Supreme Court. Telangana government which is not keen on sharing the assets of population ratio is trying to delay the process in different ways.

The Union home secretary had convened a meeting of the Chief Secretaries of the two states on November 15th but it was postponed at the last minute to 21st of this month. But then the meeting was also canceled as Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma has written to the Union home secretary that he would not be able to attend the meeting since he was busy with some assignment.

The meeting is likely to be pushed to December or later since Rajiv Sharma will be retiring this month-end and the new meeting on sharing of AP Bhavan assets between both the Telugu States will be possible only in December, after the appointment of a new Chief Secretary to Telangana.
