New Districts Come As a Big Headache For Sitting MLAs

It is now official that Telangana will have 31 districts in total along with the newly formed once and they will be operational from Vijaya Dasami day. There is a rule that no Assembly constituency should be spread over more than one district. But then this rule is ignored in the districts reorganization conducted by the state government.

At least 37 constituencies are spread in two or more districts which will come as a headache for MLAs to coordinate between two district administrations. Even Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao’s Gajwel constituency is also facing this issue. Ministers – Eetela Rajendra, Pocharam Srinivasa Rao, Chandulal have got the same problem.

Telangana Working President, Revanth Reddy’s Kodangal Constituency was intentionally made so to weaken him politically. Reconstitution of constituencies is round the corner in both the Telugu States. It has to be seen if this is corrected in that but then with these many districts, it may not be that easy.
