Come this Dussehra, the Total Number of districts in Telangana will be going up to 31. The new districts will begin their operations that day as the Chief Minister and the other ministers will be inaugurating them. On the other side, new demands for districts are continuing to crop up but the Chief Minister assured that 31 is going to be the final number.

Telangana Government is going to allocate 2000 Crore in the next budget for the office buildings and other infrastructure in the new districts. The government had set a target of one year for the completion of this. The state cabinet will sit for a meeting tonight and decide upon the final notification of the districts.
On the other side, there were rumors that Devarakonda and Ibrahimpatnam may be also added to the new districts list. That would make the total count to 33 when added up Three Plus Three, it will come up to ‘Six’ which is the lucky number of CM KCR. But then, the Chief Minister decided against the idea as it would send bad signals of doing things in haste.
