The all-important polling day is finally here in Telangana and the state is moving to cast its vote. Celebrities like Jr NTR, Chiranjeevi, and Allu Arjun have cast their vote already.
Coming to the topic, The early trends pertaining to the polling percentage are not very promising in Telangana thus far.
The state has seen a polling percentage of 8.52% for the first two hours (8 AM – 10 AM). In comparison, the 2018 election saw 9% polling in the first two hours.
The difference might not seem very big but this is a substantial one, given that this is an early trend and starting off on a slow note is not a very good sign.
The voter turnout in 2018 was 73.74% and this could be seen as a benchmark. Bettering this tally will be the target.
The polling will go on till 5 PM in 106 constituencies, and 4 PM in 13 problematic constituencies. However, those who have reached the polling center before 5 PM will be permitted to vote till later in the day.
