Secretariat Without Internet!

The Telangana Secretariat recently faced an unusual crisis when the internet went down. The reason turned out to be cable cutting. Though it disrupted official work, many found it ironic that such a situation happened inside the Secretariat itself.

The cutting of cables began after tragic incidents of electrocution during Janmashtami and Ganapati. Several areas in the city were left without internet. Citizens were unable to work or even use the internet to file complaints.

Responding to a petition, the High Court ruled that cables could be cut if they caused trouble. The electricity department argued that random installation of internet cables on poles created safety issues.

On the other hand, cable and internet providers insisted that the electricity department was cutting cables of licensed operators. This clash left many users frustrated with no clear solution in sight.

On a positive note, the blackout at the Secretariat may push officials to experience the hardships of the public. It could also encourage them to work on a permanent fix for the problem.
