Another tragic case of electrocution has shaken Hyderabad. A techie named Satvik lost his life after an electric pole fell on him in Nacharam. This incident comes even as the city is still mourning recent deaths from electric shocks during festivals.
On Tuesday morning, Satvik was on his way to office from Kartikeyanagar. Suddenly, an electric pole on the road divider collapsed and fell on him. He died on the spot, leaving his family and community in deep shock.
Police registered a complaint and began investigating the case. Meanwhile, public anger is growing, as nearly nine people had earlier died due to electrocution while carrying Ganeshas and during Janmashtami celebrations. Citizens are questioning the safety measures.
In response to public outrage, GHMC has already started cutting unused cable and internet wires across the city. But in Satvik’s case, the fall of an entire electric pole has raised serious concerns about maintenance by the state electricity board.
