Telangana Politics May Open New Opportunities for TDP

BJP Threat has come knocking at KCR’s door all of sudden. No one is very sure what has triggered the people so much but there is a shift of equilibrium in Telangana politics as evident from the Dubbaka by-election result. The GHMC election result will give us a clear picture of what is happening.

If at all the TRS gets an adverse result in this election, BJP will not even hesitate to topple the Government. That would change the entire scenario. If at all BJP poses a threat to KCR in the next election, we may see the change of goal post in Telangana. We may even get to see Chandrababu Naidu and KCR getting closer.

In a closely-contested election, TDP’s votes will still be relevant. Chandrababu and KCR shared a lot of bad blood before the 2019 elections and who could forget KCR’s Return Gift to Chandrababu. But as they say, there are no permanent friends or enemies in Politics.

BJP may also try to get close to Chandrababu to prevent that from happening. In such a case, BJP and TDP may ally. Even as things look hypothetical at this moment, anything can happen. TDP may get close to BJP or TRS by the time of the next elections. It looks like Telangana politics may open new opportunity for TDP
