Telangana To Have its First Woman Minister

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken a crucial decision. According to that, all the three female MLAs who have won from TRS are likely to get Plum Posts. Telangana is likely to have its First Female Minister This time. KCR was criticized for not having a Woman Minister in his previous term.

Correcting the issue, KCR wants to give all the three Woman MLAs – Padma Devender Reddy, Rekha Naik, and Gongidi Sunitha Plum Posts. Padma Devender Reddy who is the deputy Speaker in her previous tenure is likely to be inducted into the cabinet. Rekha Naik also has a chance given that it will fulfill woman quota and ST quota.

In such case, Padma Devender Reddy will be made the Speaker. So, the Cabinet Berth and Speaker Post will be in between these two and one more female MLA will be made Parliamentary Secretary which is also a cabinet rank post. Some woman MLAs of the other parties are also planning to join TRS and in such case, the equations may change.

Telangana Cabinet Expansion is likely on the 18th of this month, a day after the Parliament Session begins. KCR has started the exercise of the Cabinet Expansion. In the first phase, only Eight Ministers will be inducted into the cabinet and the complete expansion will happen only after the Parliament Elections.
