Fauzi release date update
Prabhas’ Fauzi has been postponed from December 3, 2026, and the film could now be heading for March 5, 2027. If this industry scoop becomes official, the new date could create more than just a release clash.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Fauzi is reportedly taking the March 5 date that was earlier planned for Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. Spirit is then expected to move to October 2027.
The bigger problem for Mythri is Dil Raju’s Salman Khan starrer Monster, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, targeting the Eid 2027 period, which falls around the first week of March. Dil Raju and Mythri could once again head for an ugly box office and screens clash.
This is interesting because the relationship between the two camps has already seen plenty of friction. The biggest recent issue came during the release of Peddi. Mythri was handling the Nizam distribution of Ram Charan’s film, while Dil Raju and the Asian Group supported the percentage-based revenue-sharing system proposed by Telangana exhibitors. Mythri strongly opposed the system.
In August, the Dil Raju-Mythri tussle took over again over Nizam distribution involving Irumudi and Toxic.
Now, Fauzi vs Monster could bring that competitive equation back into focus, but this time on a pan-India level. Salman Khan gives Monster strong value in the Hindi market, while Prabhas gives Fauzi a huge pan-India reach.
For now, March 5 for Fauzi and the October shift for Spirit remain industry updates, not official announcements. But if the plan becomes official, Fauzi vs Monster could add another major chapter to the ongoing Dil Raju-Mythri rivalry.
