Telugu CMs yet to revive relief funds!

Chief Minister’s Relief Funds often prove to be a boon for the poor in a state with the needy and eligible families get financial assistance for their emergency medical treatment. Earlier in the undivided state, 2 Lakhs per applicant and up to 20 Crore per year used to be disbursed to the needy. But all the case flow stopped by the time, President’s rule was enforced in the state. Governor then appointed a committee to process such application in the President’s rule but the committee failed to clear at least a single application.

Since then 1000s of applications were pending and the needy were eagerly waiting for Chandra Babu Naidu and K Chandra Sekhar Rao to revive them. The applications to the Relief funds were forwarded to the respective CMOs based on the residence of the applicants. However, the Chief Minister’s Offices have been rejecting them without citing any reason. The last Chief Minister of United State, Kiran Kumar Reddy had sanctioned Rs 60+ crore during his three years tenure to the 30000 needy families.
