BARC has released the latest ratings of Telugu news channels for Week 33, showing surprising changes. Compared to the previous week, all major channels recorded a surge in their ratings, creating intense competition among leading players.
In the 15+ age group across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, TV9 secured the number one spot with a strong lead. NTV followed in second place, while TV5 stood third. ABN Andhrajyothi claimed the fourth position, surprising many with its rise.
Sakshi, widely seen as the YSR Congress mouthpiece, continued to struggle and remained in seventh place. Both 10 TV and V6 News were ranked much higher than Sakshi in the ratings chart, signaling a clear gap in viewership.
In Hyderabad city ratings, TV9 and TV5 secured the top two spots. ABN Andhrajyothi performed even better here by reaching the third position. V6, Sakshi, and NTV occupied the following ranks in the competitive Hyderabad market.
ABN’s fourth rank in AP and Telangana, along with third place in Hyderabad, has come as one of the biggest surprises of Week 33, making it the standout story in Telugu news channel ratings.
