Time Bomb Ticking Under Chandrababu’s Chair

The Biggest Political Loser in the Special Status Issue seems to be AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. The Chief Minister is caught between the devil and the deep sea in the issue. Naidu who came to power promising development is desperate in need of Center’s help for the cash-strapped state. He is sure that these meager funds will stop as well if he severed ties with NDA.

But then political compulsions are however very different. People are feeling that they are betrayed by BJP and are upset with the CM being soft on the issue. As we all know sentiment do not know the logic, this is adding to the woes of Chandrababu. This sentiment may act against TDP in the upcoming local elections.

Even the hardcore supporters of TDP are finding it tough to take Naidu’s side because they themselves feel cheated by BJP and also it is hard to support the party’s stance when people themselves are against it. It’s high time Naidu does something about it or the political losses will be too high.
