While many political activists predicted that Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam would give a tough fight to the current ruling party, DMK, in the 2026 elections, the recent opinion poll results from a popular television media outlet for the Tamil Nadu 2026 election look shocking.

According to the opinion poll results, out of 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu, DMK has a majority with 105, and ADMK has the chance to become the opposition with 90. The remaining constituencies will be closely contested, and Vijay’s TVK party doesn’t even have a chance to win a single constituency.

Following this, many netizens responded that, with these results, it’s evident that even though Vijay’s TVK is slowly establishing itself, many people still see Vijay only as an actor and not as a politician, which is why, as of now, the opinion poll results are not in favor of the party.

However, it remains to be seen how Vijay is going to strategize his next moves in politics and whether he will give a tough fight to the established DMK and ADMK parties in the 2026 state elections of Tamil Nadu.
