Fresh after their separate state agitation, the employees of Telangana region are gearing up for one more agitation. This time the fight is for the removal of the controversial 18(f) clause issued by the Kamalnathan committee to distribute state-cadre staff between AP and Telangana states. This clause gives the committee power to distribute employees to any state with out considering their nativity.
Currently there no enough higher-level employees in Telangana and obviously Seema Andhra employees will be used to fill up those posts in Telangana. Employees fear that the Telangana staff will not have a chance to get promoted if Seema Andhra staff are occupied at higher levels and are so opposing this clause. They also allege that Kamalnathan committee is a pawn in the hands of Centre and Seemandhra political leaders and is acting detrimental to interests of Telangana employees.
