The power Problems of Telangana seem to be not subsiding in near future. Right from villages to Hyderabad, every where people are reeling under the pressure of heavy power cuts. The ongoing PPAs cancellation tussle with Andhra Pradesh seem to be not ending any soon. On the other side, farmers are coming on to the roads protesting against no power to agricultural needs.
Under all this circumstances, Telangana government is planning to increase the power holidays of industries in the region to two. If this is implemented, industries in Telangana will operate only four days a week. This move will certainly cause a lot of damage to the brand name of Telangana and industries may even consider moving out to other states. So, Telangana government is in a fix from all the sides. But it looks like the government has no option than increasing the power holidays to industries.
