TTD Funds: Jagan Thinks People Are Innocent?

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board passed a resolution to use one percent of its annual budget for the comprehensive development of Tirupati city.

The annual budget of the TTD is around Rs 3,600 crore and one percent of the amount would amount to Rs 36 crore.

This decision triggered massive protests and then, the Government released a G.O. stating that it had rejected the proposal of the Board.

The Special Chief Secretary to Government (Endowment) R Karikal Valaven issued an order to this effect on Friday.

But then, this is something silly. The G.O. sounds like the Board is excited to give 1% of its budget to the Government and the Government is gracious enough to reject the proposal.

Probably, those in power feel people are extremely naive to believe the Board itself offered 1% of its budget without any pressure from the Government.

On top of it, they expect people to believe that Jagan is not interested in money and reject the proposal just like that.

It is clear that this is damage control after widespread criticism about encroaching on the funds belonging to the Lord and the devotees.
