Tummala not interested in Paleru by-election?

Tummala Nageshwar Rao, Minister in KCR’s cabinet is suddenly fielded for Paleru by-election as TRS candidate. Earlier they said Tummala’s son will be contesting but KCR opted for Tummala himself. There is significant Kamma population in Paleru which is the community of Tummala. Also he has extensive relations, political connections in the constituency.

So KCR felt Tummala can easily win the election there. However it is emerging that Tummala is not at all interested in contesting because he is already convenient a Minister and contesting election will only mean unwanted expenses and exhaustion. But he agreed to contest to impress KCR with a win.

He reportedly also promised KCR that he will make sure anybody who contests there win but the Chief Minister wants him to contest at any cost. The voting for the election will take place on May 16th. The only positive point for Tummala here is that he is likely to be the candidate for Paleru in next election and it is the most comfortable seat for him in the entire district.
