TV9 Ousts Ravi Prakash

TV9 Board has ousted the Channel CEO Ravi Prakash from the Channel after the allegations of funds misuse and forgery allegations. Ravi Prakash who holds 8% stake in the company is not in favor of Alanda Media taking over the company with four new directors. Alanda Media has bought 90% Stake of the company from Srini Raju.

Even though Ravi Prakash is the Minor Stake Holder in the Channel, the company always gave him the say in the Editorial but the new company is not keen on that which did not go well with him. Rumors in the media circles are that Ravi Prakash was shunted out of the channel with this case planted on him.

TV9 is the first 24X7 Telugu News Channel and very soon reached the Number One Spot. Several News Channels have cropped up with Ravi Prakash’s Inspiration but TV9 managed to keep up its Lead Position over the years. It has to be seen if Ravi Prakash’s Exit will change the fate of the Channel.
