One of the greatest leg-spinners, Shane Warne, passed away in March during his trip to Thailand due to a heart attack. 2 months and ten days later, the world woke up to the news of Andrew Symonds’ demise.
The tragedy seems even more heartbreaking due to the coincidence that Shane Warne’s last tweet was on Rod Marsh, who passed away in March, and Symonds’s last Instagram post was on Warne’s death.
A two-time World Cup winner, Andrew Symonds had even attended Warne’s memorial service in Melbourne in March along with his Australian teammates.
On Instagram, Symonds had written, “Devastated, I’m hoping this is all a bad dream. I just can’t get my head around never seeing you again. Love to all the Warne family. I’m speechless.”
Andrew Symonds was one of the legendary all-rounders to have played Cricket. The hard-hitting batsman, who could bowl both medium-pace and off-spin, was part of the 2003 World Cup-winning Australian squad as well as the one in 2007.
