U.S Embassy Clarifies On Visa Renewal Through Email

In an encouraging update to those who wish to apply for US visa renewal, John Ballard, the consulate chief at US Consulate General in Mumbai has announced that applications can now be sent through Dropbox.

The US consulates and embassies in Indian are prepared to receive a record number of applications from Indian students in 2023.

He went on to clarify that the applications sent through email will not be accepted. He went on to add they are expecting record high number of applications in 2023 after adjudicating over 125 thousand student visas in 2022.

There will also be special interview days for first time applicants and the mission is to open additional slots for appointments to take place on select Saturdays in the next few months.

The US embassies in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad have conducted special Saturday interview days on the 21st of January as a pilot project.
